About Me & Works
I was born in 1988 in Birmingham. I attended primary and secondary school in Turkey and Germany. In 2010 I have finished my Bachelor study at Middle East Technical University (METU) from the department of Industrial Design. Later on I have began my graduate study (Master of Science) at the same department and finished the study with a thesis on "Research and Design for a Material Information System Appropriate to Industrial Design Students". Between 2012-2014 I have done another graduate study (Master of Arts) at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) in the field of Product Design and Management with a thesis titled "Future Scenarios as an Appropriate Way for Designers to Anticipate the Future" and a project called "Table Talk: An Info-Kit for Families to Learn about Food Issues". In 2014 I have attended a Certificate of Advanced Studies module which was lead by Massimo Banzi and Giorgio Olivero at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) from the Interaction Design Program there. I have worked as a research assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of Industrial Design. Currently I am pursuing my PhD in Design, at Hessen State University of Art and Design (HfG OF_MAIN). Besides industrial design I do illustrations, graphic design, animations and interaction design. I can summarise my design practise as 'explorative forms and simple interactions'.
